According to my doctor’s nature tour guide, the bats hang upside down because they develop their wings so well as mammal, and their feet became so weak that… hanging upside down is the only way they can support their weight…
My Doc. is a pretty cool guy, today’s visit he told me about his trip to Australia… Interesting tidbits like, the crock’s brain is only about the size of a walnut – that’s why you get to see the TV nature shows people get so up close to them… haha. Also, he explained to me why bats hang upside down (as he was told by his Nature Guide).
